Lil Wayne Released from Hospital After Six Days

Lil Wayne was released on Monday after six days in the hospital.

"Thanks to Cedar Sinai for everything!!! @LilTunechi has been officially been released and is headed home....God is great," Mack Maine, president of Wayne's label Young Money Entertainment, tweeted Monday.

"God Bless.my son just release frm hospital.thanks 4 all tha luv.YMCMB.Richgang," rapper Birdman added.

Wayne was admitted to the hospital last Tuesday after suffering a seizure. On Friday, after TMZ reported the rapper was in a medical coma and being prepared for his last rites, Wayne combatted the rumors, tweeting that night, "I'm good everybody. Thx for the prayers and love."

Birdman continued to clear up the false speculation surrounding Wayne's health, calling in to Hot 97's Angie Martinez Show Monday afternoon.
"He had a seizure and we brought him to the hospital. We've been here ever since. But he's doin' much better and he's in good shape right now," Birdman explained, shooting down rumors Wayne had multiple seizures and multiple hospital stays.

Birdman, who was with the rapper when he began seizing, also denied the theories that Wayne's condition is in any way tied to drug use. "To me, it's just his work ethic," he said. "It's just how he put in and what he believe in and how hard he work, how much dedication he gives to music and his fans and what he tryin' to accomplish in life. It had nothing to do with drugs. He just needs to get some rest, relax, take it one day at a time."

When it came to reports that Wayne was on his deathbed, Birdman clarified, "He was never in that kind of situation throughout the whole few days we've been in the hospital. He never been about to die. We got family and kids. When you putting out false rumors like that, you can really damage families like that, fear them and have them feared."

Last season, it battled — and beat! — The X Factor. Now The Voice is going up against American Idol.
Although The Voice kicks off its new season Monday, March 25, the reality show will really get competitive later in the season. That's because NBC will air a special Wednesday episode on May 8 at 8/7c when the singing competition will reveal the Top 12 singers live. The Wednesday broadcast is one night only, but marks the first time that the NBC singing competition, which normally airs Mondays and Tuesdays, will go up directly against American Idol, which airs Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Returning spring shows: Where we left off
Last year, The Voice aired special Wednesday episodes opposite The X Factor twice — a move that X Factor executive producer and judge Simon Cowell called "a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business" at the time. The Voice beat The X Factor in both total viewers and the adults ages 18-49 demo rating on both outings.
Prior to the special live Wednesday episode, The Voice will air special two-hour editions on Tuesday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 7, both at 8/7c. The expanded episodes will highlight the knockout rounds and the live playoffs, respectively. The new dating show Ready for Love will air at 10/9c following both episodes. The singing show will wrap its fourth season on Tuesday, June 18 at 9/8c.

In anticipation of the new season, NBC released a special sneak peek at Monday's Season 4 premiere. The blind audition video not only pays tribute to coaches past — the song is Christina Aguilera's "What a Girl Wants" — but also showcases new judges Usher and Shakira in action as they battle Adam Levine and Blake Shelton to build their team and come out on top.

Shirley Jones on Cougar Town

"I'm the oldest cougar in town," says former Partridge Family mom Shirley Jones, who guest stars as Jules' new neighbor on the March 26 episode of TBS's Cougar Town. "My character and her husband decide to move to an area where they can play and try some new things out."
Jones is always up for trying new things, having played a predatory older woman in the oh-so-naughty 2006 film Grandma's Boy. "My look and reputation haven't allowed me this opportunity very often," says Jones, who turns 79 on March 31. "But I won an Academy Award for playing a prostitute [in 1960's Elmer Gantry], so why wouldn't I want to do these saucy roles?"
Jones also plans to drop a few zingers in her upcoming autobiography, Shirley Jones: A Memoir, out in June, and will also take on a genre she's never before tackled: zombie gore. "I'm playing a 90-year-old blind zombie in a low-budget movie called Dead of Night," says Jones, who starts shooting in April. "It's very bloody and gruesome. How much further from Shirley Partridge could I go from that?"

Pretty Little Liars

After a season of being taunted and haunted by a mysterious blonde in a crimson jacket, "Red Coat will finally show herself to the girls" Tuesday night, promises executive producer Marlene King of Pretty Little Liars' Season 3 jaw-dropping finale (8/7c, ABC Family), which she says "in many ways goes up in flames."
In keeping with the show's tradition of paying homage to the works of Alfred Hitchcock, "there is a party at a very North By Northwest lodge in the woods," King says, adding with a laugh that while "there is no crop-duster, there is a plane" that factors into the hour's action. Also going down in the Rosewood? More twists than you can shake a field hockey stick at. "It is one of those episodes where you're constantly trying to figure who is conning who ...you just don't know who to trust," King previews. "Every 10 or 15 minutes, you'll be saying 'Oh my gosh, I thought I had this figured out but I don't.'"
What viewers will figure out is a slew of so-far-unresolved mysteries, including the "shocking" identity of the person Jenna (Tammin Sursok) met at the picnic table at the end of Season 2; the true makeup of the A Team ("who is on it, who isn't and who is about to lose their spot?"); and something we have been dying know since the late Toby's alliance with Crazy Mona was revealed. "You will find out by the end if Toby was really good or really bad," King offers. "There will be closure for fans."
In addition, Ezria lovers should prepare for what King describes as "a be-still-my-heart moment" for the couple, as well as a cliffhanger that leaves Aria, Hanna, Spencer and Em speechless. "You will understand when you see [this] why Season 4 picks up literally moments later," King teases. "The finale freezes on the Liars looking at something they just cannot believe they are seeing."
